If so, perhaps you can remember the name of that application SGI had
which allowed you to make and edit documents that contain 3D texture
mapped text and models - IINM, it used IRIS Inventor for the models
and text. Waaay ahead of it's time - even today there isn't much that
can do what it can do as easily.

I've been trying to remember what the application is called, but I
can't.

Perhaps someone here has a better memory.

I´d suggest IRIS Annotator - kind of a superb 3D drawing utility.

I even bought a license back in 199? (dunno exactly), but it got lost
over the years and different SGI machines I had.
